AIS HealthcareAIS Healthcare provides infusion therapies and related Targeted Drug Delivery.

Infusion Therapies

Infusion therapies administer specialized drugs intravenously. Health conditions commonly treated by infusion therapies include:

  • Immune deficiencies
  • Pain
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Conditions not responsive to oral medications
  • Dehydration

Infusion, or intravenous, therapy administers fluids, nutrients, and medications by needle directly into the patient’s vein and bloodstream. Qualified nurses administer the therapy in the office or the patient’s home.

The drugs administered are typically specialized for each patient’s condition. They are usually prepared by special compounding pharmacies that are qualified as 503A pharmacies by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

AIS Services

Many infusion therapies call for specialized drugs tailored to the patient’s particular condition. AIS offers its state-of-the-art Targeted Drug Delivery services. It operates two 503A compounding pharmacies in Dallas, Texas, and Ridgeland, Mississippi respectively. AIS’s pharmacies are operated by highly trained pharmacists. They are accredited by the prestigious Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC).

Immune deficiency therapy

Infusion therapy is commonly used as a treatment for primary immunodeficiency disorders. We have an immune system that fights infections. More than 300 forms of immunodeficiency disorders have been identified by scientists.

AIS HealthcareA common sign of primary immunodeficiency is that infections are more frequent and longer-lasting than typical infections. Also, the patient might get an infection that a person with a healthy immune system would not get.

Infusion therapy injects immunoglobulin into a vein through an intravenous (IV) line. That consists of antibody proteins that strengthen the immune system to fight infections.

AIS Healthcare provides qualified nurses with many years of experience in infusion therapy. They also operate specialized pharmacies to provide the drugs tailored to each patient’s special infusion needs.
