Citizen App

Citizen App started using crowdsourcing to provide accurate time information about what was happening around them and provide a public service. Their app could identify where you were and what was happening around you. The app also provided an option to pay extra money to get alerts directly sent to your phone or text message. This new feature lets you know when someone feels uncomfortable around your account or when someone tries to access sensitive information about you. You can also contact them directly via text message or video chat.

“Citizen has been a one-sided system to date. We give you real-time situational awareness so you can choose what to do about it. Starting today, we’re making it possible for you to ask for help from us so that you can get help yourself.” Citizens CEO Andrew Frame said in a statement. A citizen has been under fire for creating a fake user profile. Although Citizen did say, Citizen App had a pilot program for a service that could deploy private security guards for users in Los Angeles. However, it seems like this service wasn’t built yet.

Citizen currently has three main features: the free credit report service, which gives you your credit score and other details about your financial history; Protect, which allows you to pay for goods online using bitcoin; and Civic, which offers identity verification services and aims at giving citizens more excellent political representation. They also claimed that the service is not related to the “Protect” feature. Subscribers can activate Protect through a button on their mobile app.

When activated, Protect will send an alarm message to their subscriber number. To activate Protect, subscribers can also use the “distress detection ” mode. The phone’s audio will be monitored for any sound like screaming in distress detection mode. Citizens can access Protect through an app, using either “Shout” or “Distress Detection Mode,” which will trigger the alarm even if the phone isn’t turned on or there’s no sound detected. If someone activates Protect, the system will call emergency services. See this article for additional information.
