Doug Haynes

Doug HaynesDoug Haynes is the Executive Chairman of Hazeltree Limited and is the former CEO of Vodafone UK. He has also been the Managing Partner of Council Advisors, which provides companies with strategic planning, merger and acquisition advice, and management consulting services. His work includes being a Board Member of the Business Council for International Understanding and Chairman of the British American Business Council. He has also been President of Point72 Asset Management, Vice President of the Board of Trade, and Chairman of the Board at the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group.

Doug Haynes has been actively involved with many charities, including The Royal Marsden Cancer Foundation, The British Heart Foundation, Trustees of the Health Foundation, and Chancellor’s Fellow at the University of London. In addition, he is also on the advisory boards for Cancer Research UK, The American Red Cross, University College London, and others.

Education

Doug has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University, which helped him to become a successful engineer. He went to the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he studied Master of Business Administration. From here, he got the additional knowledge to help him with his career as an entrepreneur in London.

Career

A career that started in 1986 in engineering, Doug Haynes has come a long way and is still moving ahead. In the early 1980s, he was involved in the engineering sector, then he moved to business in the area of telecommunication, selling network products and services. This allowed him to gain more knowledge and information that helped him with his career as an entrepreneur in London.

Philanthropy

Doug Haynes is involved in philanthropy; he is a Director of the Royal Marsden Cancer Foundation and a trustee of the Health Foundation. He is also on the management team for Cancer Research UK and a member of the Council of Vice Chancellors at the University of London.
