John Hailer, American Executive

John Hailer is one of the most influential financiers worldwide and has spent the last decade structuring high-profile transactions in both Europe and North America. As CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management from 2012 to 2016, Hailer built a strong team that generated $17 billion in profit for European investors, which ranked among one of the top five firms globally. After leaving Natixis John is expected to continue his work as Chairman of Private & Public Partner (PPP), a leading advisor on publicly traded investment banks and hedge fund managers. The World Economic Forum named Hailer to the ‘Global Leadership Council’ in 2010, an exclusive group of the world’s most powerful business leaders.

John Hailer was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. John then completed a Master’s degree at Harvard University in information systems and management. He held numerous management positions at Citicorp in London, New York, Lima, and Paris and was based as a managing director in London. John also held the position of chairman of Citicorp Investment Bank Europe from 2007 to 2008.

In 2008 John Hailer was featured in a “CNBC” special program called “Remaking Wall Street”. He was named one of the “40 Under 40” by Fortune Magazine in 2008. In 2010 he was named to the “World Economic Forum’s” ‘Global Leadership Council‘ and has also served on its Investment Committee, as Chairman of its Global Alternative Asset Management Working Group, as a member of its Financial Innovation Taskforce, as a member of the Investor Advisory Council and as Chairman of its European Group. In 2012 he was named “Finance International Dealmaker of the Year”.

John Hailer is a member of Bridgeway Capital Management, a hedge fund based in Boston.John has also served on the boards of Continental Grain Company, Lucara Diamond Corp., Bancolombia and Cooperatieve Rabobank UA.
