Justin Sun is a Chinese cryptocurrency entrepreneur and business executive. He is TRON’s founder and former chief executive officer (CEO), serving in that capacity from its inception in September 2016 until February 26, 2018.

Justin Sun was born in the Zhejiang province of China. He studied applied physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2007. In 2013, Justin founded Peiwo APP and renamed it TRON. He became an advisor for the project after leaving his position as BitTorrent Inc’s CEO.
