Launch House Announces House Capital – Its Venture Arm
Launching House is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural fund – House Capital. House Capital will invest in promising ventures that have the potential to create new opportunities and drive economic growth in the U.S. House Capital will be a vehicle for the House to mobilize investments from both international and local investors, alongside private equity funds, venture capitalists, high net worth individuals and others, who share our vision of investing in African innovation. Brett Goldstein, Michael Houck, and Jacob Peters founded House Capital to support various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and disruptive technology. Launching House is a not-for-profit organization that connects and invests in U.S-based technologists and entrepreneurs who are building innovative companies. Launching House offers access to capital, mentoring, and an opportunity to develop lasting relationships with world-class investors and business leaders.
According to Michael Houck, GP at House Capital and Co-Founder of Launch House, “House Capital is going to be the vehicle that enables us to simultaneously invest in U.S.-based ventures while also making strategic, impactful investments in Africa.” For Jacob Peters, Co-Founder of Launch House and Managing Partner of House Capital, “We are excited because House Capital will enable us to take a more active role in investing and supporting entrepreneurs building the businesses that will shape the future and define competition on a global scale. While we have invested in many early-stage companies over the past five years, we realize there is a tremendous amount of untapped potential and that’s why we want to partner with investors who share our vision for funding innovation.” Jacob Peters, the Managing Partner at House Capital, said, “Launching House is a great fit to bring together our network of global investors and entrepreneurs.” The House will focus on finding new investments that have the potential to create real, sustainable value in African markets. We aim to foster and support entrepreneurship by creating opportunities for African enterprises in markets they are best suited to compete in.
