He led Stratasys’ strategy team, grew sales to US$530M, advised on over $5B of strategic acquisitions including Materialise and R&R Moldmaking, and led the company’s overall Product Origins group before launching his latest startup Abrdn (pronounced Âbearn).
Stephen’s previous startups have won national awards for business opportunity, technology adoption for construction equipment and software products, plus a national award for sales performance. He has been a speaker at the National Construction Equipment Convention and Industry Conference, was a speaker at Smithsonian-Awards Day, and was named the “Rising Star of Construction Technology” by Engineering News Record. Stephen is also an accomplished singer on stage and in the recording studio.
Stephen has worked as an entrepreneur and executive in global markets for over 15 years. He has worked most recently with Stratasys where he led strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers including GE, Siemens, Flirtey, and LG to develop cutting-edge 3D printing technology used by thousands of customers worldwide to fabricate complex parts at increasingly lower cost. He has also worked and consulted with industry leaders including LG, GE, Siemens, and Ford to develop new business models and partner to bring additive manufacturing technology to market. With Stratasys, Stephen achieved an award-winning track record in new product adoption, customer satisfaction, and ROI while also rapidly growing the company’s overall market share. His work at Stratasys resulted in a nearly 100% satisfaction rating among users of its technology by 2018.
Stephen led the founding of Addteq and is currently the firm’s Chief Executive Officer. Addteq is a Connecticut-based technology company that provides software for construction professionals. The company has been named to include Inc.
