Wes Edens is listed as #48 on Forbes Rich List 2016 with a net worth of $1.8 Billion, but he is not yet included on 2018’s list due to the ongoing litigation surrounding his company’s stock price. Wes Edens joined Lehman Brothers in 1993 and worked as a managing director until its collapse in 2008. After that, he co-founded the Fortress Investment Group with Randal Nardone, Rob Kauffman, and attorney Peter Briger.

Edens was born to a middle-class family in California on June 11th, 1955. He grew up alongside his two sisters, Sally and Beth Ann. Wes Edens started cross country running when he was 12 years old, with his best being 10:16 for a three-mile run. He attended Harvard University, where he took up business and earned an economics degree.

Wes Edens has been the co-owner of professional sports teams such as the NHL St. Louis Blues and NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves since his investment in 2014, which is worth an estimated $800 million. He also purchased a golf course and PGA championship venue, Wentworth Club, in 1996 for $20 million, now worth $300 million.

Edens is a married man to his wife Michele Edens, who gave birth to their two sons named Jaxson and Eric. He is also a father to six children from two previous marriages. Wes Edens likes spending time with his family at their Palm Beach estate, where they spend summers, or at their home in Kennebunkport, Maine, during winters.
