Yves Mirabaud is a Swiss banker and entrepreneur. He co-founded Mirabaud & Cie, a private banking and asset management firm. He also sits on the board of several companies, including Swatch Group and Richemont. In addition, he is a member of the Swiss National Council, the country’s unicameral legislature.

Born in Geneva in 1945, Mirabaud was educated at the local Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz and the University of Geneva. He began his career in banking in 1968, working for Credit Suisse. He left Credit Suisse in 1974 to join Banque Pictet, where he worked for six years. In 1980, he co-founded Mirabaud & Cie with Georges Piguet.

Under Mirabaud’s leadership, the bank has become one of the leading private banks in Switzerland. It now has more than CHF 100 billion (approximately US$100 billion) in assets under management. The bank has offices in Geneva, Zurich, London, Luxembourg, and Paris.

Yves Mirabaud is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Institute of International Finance and the World Economic Forum. He has also been awarded the Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur by France and Germany’s Grand Cross of merit.

In addition to his work in banking, Mirabaud has also been active in philanthropy and the arts. He is an arts patron and has donated to several museums and galleries in Geneva. He has also supported several charities, including the Red Cross and UNICEF.

Yves Mirabaud has been awarded several honorary degrees and prizes for his work in banking and philanthropy. German President Joachim Gauck awarded him the Grand Cross of Merit. He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Geneva.
