Miki Agrawal On The Importance of Authenticity in Business

Miki Agrawal is an entrepreneur and international speaker on entrepreneurship, female entrepreneurship, and the menstrual health industry. Miki is CEO of Thinx, a company sold in over 38 countries across 6 continents with total revenue in 2016 of $6.8 M. The company has changed the way people think about periods by creating innovative, sustainable solutions for managing menstrual cycles that are helping to break the silence around this taboo topic and also providing a new option for women who may not be able to afford conventional sanitary protection products.

This year, Fortune and Marie Claire magazines named Miki one of the most inspiring women in business. She’s been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, Inc., Fast Company and Cosmopolitan Magazine as one of the women-changing businesses.

Miki Agrawal is also the co-founder and CEO of Icon, a company launching in 2017 that will be the first luxury female urination device. Miki is also the founder of Blush & Whim, an innovative company offering women high-quality, comfortable underwear.

Miki Agrawal is also an avid user of menstrual products as she manages her flows with Thinx. “I reached out to the company because I wanted an affordable option for women who don’t have a lot of disposable income,” she said about buying Thinx products.

Miki Agrawal has been featured by Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc., Fast Company, Fortune, Forbes and others for her work in this space. In 2016 Miki was awarded “Best Female Entrepreneur” by Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Cosmo Awards.

She was a speaker at TEDxMidAtlantic and at her alma mater Cornell University’s ILR School’s 23rd Annual Fred C. Luter Jr. Distinguished Lecture Series. She spoke at the Kauffman Foundation’s 8th Annual Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation Entrepreneurship Festival.

In 2012, she was a member of the prestigious class of business leaders selected to attend President Barack Obama’s White House Summit on Entrepreneurship. Along with her current role as CEO, Miki serves as co-founder and Director at Blush & Whim and Director at Icon. She is also an investor in several early-stage start-ups, including Bumble, Pillow Talk and KingKeg.
